I used to play the viola in San Fernando's Orchestra, and every year we participated in a national competition for youth orchestra, in 2017 we won the second place, and the award was to give a concert in the Municipal Theater of Santiago, wich is a very important stage for every musician.
We were the "artist" along with the other winners, we have to play three or four musical pieces, and the order of appearence was last place first, and first place last, because the best for the end.
San Fernando's Orchestra was created in 2002, but i was part of it since 2014 to 2018. The current director is Sergio Orellana, who teach violin and viola. About thirty musicans, from twelve to eighteen years old are part of the orchestra, but sometimes older musicians can play too, to help in some sections.
The atmosphere behind the scenes was very nervous and exciting, because we've never play in a big stage and with great musicans next to us, it was a very beautiful experience to be part of that.
I felt very nerovus, because the music sheet was a little bit difficult, and you never feel like you are enough prepared to play in front of hundred of people, but at the end, everything went okey, and with my friends, we enjoyed a lot the apportunity to travel and do what we love.
