Talking about my future job is very difficult and unkown, because of the lack of certain that there is in the musical situation in Chile. Im currently studying Music Theory, and is a career where you can do everything as long as you like it, for example, you can teach, do research, write music, etc. So i do not know very well what to do in the future, but i have some ideas.
In first place i want to give back to my community the help that they gave me when i was little, i want to teach music for free in my city, and bring people closer to learn about how music works, and be able to love music the same way as i do. Then i would love to travel all over the country and collect music from older people, so the tradition of Chilean music remains for the new generations. Also i want to write music for children. When i was a child, music was very important, the music that my parents used to play, say a lot about the person that i am now.
About the salary, as long as i am able to survive and have the basics to make music, i would be happy, and of course if i decide to have a family, be able to support them.
Music is a world in constant evolution, and because of that i dont want to be stuck in only one job or proyect, i want to evolve in the same way as music do, and i need to study and research a lot, so is an never ending path to follow.
