The Queen's Gambit

I recently watched this new serie, and it was so good that i watched in one night. This serie is called "The Queen's Gambit" is an American dramatic television miniseries based on Walter Tevis's 1983 novel of the same name. It was created by Scott Frank and Allan Scott and released on Netflix on October 23, 2020.

The main character is Anya Taylor-Joy as Beth Harmon, who became an orphan at eight years old. when she arrived at the orphanage, she sees custodian Mr. Shaibel playing chess in the basement and becomes intrigued by the game. He eventually agrees to teach her. She improves quickly and becomes obsessed with chess. As she grew up, she begins to develop an adicction to pills an alcohol, because of all the losses and the pressure that came with to be a chess prodigy.

This story begins in the mid-50's and proceeds into the 60's, so i liked a lot the aesthetic of the clothes, the makeup, and the sets, you can really see how the main character feels seeing the color of the scenarios and the music at the background. And i also liked to see how a talented person struggle mentaly and phisicaly because of the pressure that other people put in them. Is an excelent miniserie and i recomended a lot.
